Where is it going?

I’ve found that once I start a story it takes on a life of its own. In Death’s Companion a minor character refused to die, took over and became the major protagonist. Now the story I’m working on is proceeding at a pace that may turn it into a novella instead of a novel. I’m 28,500 words in and the end I’ve envisioned is coming fast. What to do? Well, just keep writing and see where the story takes itself. Then I can reevaluate when I go back to do edits.

Damn, this writing stuff is fun.
